Use hemp seeds as a topper rather than a primary food. Sprinkle them over fresh chop, mix them into recipe-based treats, or add a small amount to your bird’s foraging toys to encourage natural behaviors.
Recommended Serving Size
- Small birds (budgies, lovebirds, parrotlets): ⅛–¼ teaspoon a few times a week
- Medium birds (conures, quakers, senegals): ¼–½ teaspoon a few times a week
- Large birds (Amazons, African greys, cockatoos, macaws): ½–1 teaspoon a few times a week
