Where are your toys made?
All toys are handmade in our bird-free workshop in California, USA, using materials we carefully select for safety and durability.
Are your toys safe for parrots?
Yes. We use bird-safe woods, natural fibers, and non-toxic dyes. Every product page lists materials and recommended bird sizes. Always supervise your bird with new toys until you know how they use them.
Are these toys suited for all parrot species?
Every species has different needs. Always check the recommended bird size on each product page, a toy safe for a cockatiel may not be safe for a macaw.
How do I choose the right toy for my bird?
Each bird has unique preferences! We recommend offering a mix of chewable toys, foraging toys, and foot toys. Our product pages include recommendations by bird size and play style to help you choose.
My bird plays rough, will your toys hold up?
We design many toys with durable materials for heavy chewers. But even the strongest toys can be destroyed with energetic play, that’s normal enrichment! Look into PVC bird toys, our most durable at pds parrot shop.

What size toy is right for my parrot?
Toys should match your bird’s species and strength. Too small can become a choking hazard; too large may be difficult to manipulate and cause stress. Check our recommended bird sizes on each product page for guidance.

We design every toy with bird safety in mind. Our bird-safe toys are made using non-toxic materials, sturdy hardware such as stainless steel, and thoughtfully selected components. Safety is always our top priority in every design.

Chewing and shredding are normal, healthy behaviors for parrots. Some species are very powerful chewers, this is enrichment. Try choosing bird toys that are bigger or more advance.
What if my bird doesn’t play with a new toy?
Some parrots need time to warm up to new items. Try placing the toy in a different cage spot, pairing it with a treat, or holding it yourself to spark curiosity.
How many toys should I have in my bird’s cage?
Most parrots benefit from3–5 different toys in the cage plus extras you rotate regularly. This keeps playtime interesting without overwhelming your bird.
How often should I rotate toys?
We recommend rotating toys every 1–2 weeks to maintain novelty and mental enrichment.
Are bird toys safe to leave in the cage overnight?
Yes, as long as they’re made from bird-safe materials and checked daily for loose parts or wear.
How do I clean and wash bird toys?
Bird toys should be cleaned regularly to remove food residue, dust, and droppings. Many toys can be washed using warm water and a bird-safe cleaning method. Always allow toys to fully dry before returning them to your bird’s cage. Learn more about cleaning bird toys.
