Looking for a festive, healthy treat for your parrot? These Pumpkin Spice Oatmeal Bird Treats are perfect for the season! Made with bird-safe ingredients like pumpkin, oats, and a dash of Ceylon cinnamon, they bring a touch of autumn warmth to your bird's snack time. Easy to make and fun to shape, they're a great way to celebrate Halloween or any fall occasion with your birds.
Recipe:
- 1 cup 100% Pumpkin Puree
- 1/4 tsp Ceylon Cinnamon
- 1 cup Oat Flour + plus extra for rolling.
- 1/2 cup Oats
Instructions:
- Mix all ingredients together and blend well. Use extra flour to prevent stickiness if needed. Let it rest for 15 minutes.
- Roll the dough to 1/8 inch or 1/4 inch thickness. Work in batches if necessary, and use parchment paper to keep the dough from sticking to your rolling pin. The thinner you roll, the crunchier the cookies will be.
- Cut the dough into any shapes you like. Place cookies on baking sheet which is lightly greased with coconut oil.
- Bake at 350°F (175°C) for 25 minutes.
- Turn off the oven and leave the cookies inside for 1 hour to dry out in the warm oven.
- Let cool and serve as a treat for your bird!
